By the Sunlight
The moon was staring at the sun, basking in it's light, saying "Just why is it that I'm mostly seen at night? Who am I? Why am I here? And what could be my worth? For I am hardly noticed by those sleeping on the earth.. I look upon my surface with my craters full of dust, to think how those below must regard me with disgust.. My dark and dreary, colder side, I hide from everyone.. If only I could be like you, oh bright and burning sun!" Then the sun responded, "You just simply do not see, why you are the way you are, or what you're meant to be.. Do you not perceive how you're meant to lead and guide, for in your very movement, you effect the water's tide.. Whether you are very full or in your darkest phase, the earth could not exist without the wonder of your ways.. And those that live in darkness, who cannot behold my face, see the light that I reflect upon you out in space.." At hearing this, the moon began to realize his state, to understand his purpose was both glorious and great, This seemed to set the moon aglow, brighter than before with luminary radiance which no one could ignore.. So as we rejoice in sitting at our Master's feet, we will reflect the light of grace to everyone we meet.. For Jesus is the Son of God, while we are like the moon.. We're coming to our fullness.. He's coming for us soon.. |
